Adam Blackwood D.O.M.P.
Adam’s journey into manual therapy began when he enrolled in the Massage Therapy program at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Halifax, graduating with honors in 2016. His professional career as a Massage Therapist focuses on promoting health and rehabilitation.
However, a pivotal moment in Adam’s life occurred earlier, at the age of 19, when he suffered a severe back injury after a fall down a flight of stairs. Despite the assistance of numerous doctors and medications, he found himself reliant on a cane for mobility. It was during this challenging time that someone recommended he see an Osteopath.
Adam’s experience with Osteopathy proved transformative. His ability to regain mobility and reduce pain fascinated him, motivating him to explore manual therapy further.
To deepen his knowledge, Adam pursued a five-year Osteopathy program at the College D’Études Ostéopathiques. This comprehensive program delves into the visceral, musculoskeletal, and craniosacral systems, with a focus on uncovering the root causes of pain. Adam is set to graduate in 2024, armed with extensive expertise.
Over the past five years, Adam has honed a therapeutic approach to treatment, skillfully blending various techniques into his massage practice. He specializes in helping patients manage acute pain and addresses chronic conditions, including migraines, digestive problems, repetitive use injuries, and postural issues.
Adam maintains a membership in good standing with the Massage Therapists and Wholistic Practitioners Association of the Maritimes. His dedication to facilitating wellness and his unwavering pursuit of knowledge make him a valuable asset in the field of manual therapy.

Kim Tanner RMT
Kim brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience helping people find relief from tension in the head, face, neck and shoulders. She specializes in TMJ dysfunction, headaches and migraine-related tension patterns, occipital neuralgia, facial tension, burnout and chronic stress held in the body, and post-concussion recovery. Her work is especially supportive for high stress professionals, caregivers and teachers, and those experiencing the effects of long-term stress.
Each session is carefully tailored to individual needs. Rather than a general full body massage for overall wellness, she most often works with intention and precision, focusing on the areas that contribute most to discomfort. This supports a calm, therapeutic, nervous system informed treatment that helps the body release long-held tension patterns in a safe and sustainable way.
Using massage as a foundation, Kim delivers precise, intentional and targeted treatment. She may incorporate deeper techniques when appropriate but does not rely on sustained deep tissue pressure. By working with the nervous system, she helps the body shift out of protective holding patterns into a state where real relief can occur, allowing the work to unfold without force or unnecessary pressure. Techniques may include myofascial release, Indian Head Massage, Graston Technique®, MediCupping™ and heated muscle scraping, all chosen to best support the body.
Kim combines her extensive hands-on experience with advanced training in chronic pain management, PTSD, stress and anxiety reduction, concussion management, fibromyalgia and persistent head and neck pain. She also supports prenatal and postpartum care, along with menopause-related tension, as the body moves through different stages of life.
People often leave feeling calmer, lighter, and more at ease in their body.
